Welcome to HCG

High Color Gallery llc is a community driven platform for artists in Asheville NC. HCG does not profit from any sales of goods or services. We are a place for artists in Asheville to market, sell, and collaborate openly online and in person to connect with those interested in their art. Our site is designed to help those connections possible, giving visitors a positive experience.

High Color Gallery was developed based on ideas of things other galleries do not provide.

These are the 3 core values of our company.

  • We strongly believe in making art accessible to everyone. This is a part of our foundation so we design our shop to offer an exceptionally wide range of pricing options. HCG presents fine art comparable to what traditional galleries showcase, but we go beyond that by including a diverse range of artwork across various mediums. From unique merchandise and high-quality prints to a variety of art-related services, we strive to accommodate any budget.

  • HCG does not profit from any art sales.

    While other galleries rely on commissions, inflating the original prices marked by the artists, taking cuts from their profit, at HCG, artists have full control over all sales on their artwork.

    This has several benefits :

    - Ability to maintain the original prices set by the artists are the same prices offered to the buyer.

    - Enabling artists to keep their earnings in full.

    - Chill environment. No salespeople. We welcome everyone with respect, no matter if you’re a buyer or a visitor.

    - Creating real connections.

  • Most galleries tend to be quite strict when it comes to the art styles, subject matter, and the specific artists they choose to represent. While we do uphold certain standards, our gallery opposes any walls or limits on the type of art we showcase. Instead, we actively strive to broaden diversity in every possible way—from the various styles of artwork, to the multiple capabilities our gallery embraces, and much more. This is what we believe art is all about.

  • We have intentionally chosen not to have one building from where we represent our artwork. We have personally witnessed the heartbreaking losses of several art galleries that went under from the flood of Hurricane Helene that will never recover. However in reflection we believe we can adapt, rethinking the landscape of what a traditional gallery is, imagining new possible ways to improve, along with the changing times of how artists connect with the world. And the world with artists. Our gallery is on the streets of Asheville. This allows us to have more diversity in exhibition space, transforming unused spaces as temporary galleries, flexibility in participating in events, and inclusion for services provided by the artists.

    Note - We recognize the benefit for viewing higher priced artwork in person. We offer available options to transport artwork to any location for personal viewing with the interested party.

  • After it became clear that we can do whatever we wanted in ways other galleries do not, we wanted to apply that further by offering services, exclusively from our artists.

    Like with all artwork purchased in our shop, prices on all services are set directly from the artists, maintaining our standard to provide the most fair pricing to the buyer.

    Our team is committed to performing our services with the highest level of excellence to deliver professional results.

  • Our platform allowing people to connect directly with artists creates an interaction that makes each sale more authentic. In other galleries artists never know who purchased their work. Our gallery allows direct connection and communication between the artists and the buyer. Artists appreciate their work being heard, as a means of connecting with people most.
